Assistant Teacher- Jeff Yu Gallery
Jeffrey Yu is an Atlanta based visual designer with over eight years of experience working in the creative entertainment industry. He graduated in 2012 from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a double major in Sequential Art and Animation.
Jeff created storyboard illustrations for the NBCUniversal distributed real-time animated television show Zafari, and was lead illustrator for the animated intro in The Little Mermaid movie that premiered on Netflix in 2018.
Over the past five years, he created marketing art, concepts for games, rulebooks, convention/event printed graphics, and mobile app UI for Cool Mini Or Not, the renowned creator of the popular Zombicide board game. He recently transitioned to creating 3D worlds that are brought to life with the use of Unreal Engine and virtual reality simulators at Pulseworks.
He is also the Business Director of the Atlanta based volunteer animation organization, ASIFA-South, to help set up festivals, mixers, and workshops for the creative community.
On weekends, Jeff is an assistant art teacher at the First Fine Art Academy of Johns Creek where his artistic journey first began during his sophomore year in high school more than a decade ago. He teaches students K-12 in traditional art skills that prepare them for major art competitions and collect a robust design portfolio for college applications.
